Afterword to Golden Post-It Target
A post that closes a cycle. I’ll take some time to think what/how to do the next.
If you are a regular reader, you might have noticed the iteration on the 6 elements of duty
The first one is the obvious inspiration on Steinberg’s cover:
The second one is the new terms:
clarity -> clarity
confidence -> possibility
conviction ->
purpose
objectives -> aim
system -> attention
action ->
action
Some are better terms (purpose & possibility), some are just concessions to aesthetics and memorability (aim, action & attention).
It’s the dreaded accurate vs interesting dychotomy. What is most accurante might not be interesting | memorable and vice versa. News headlines, clickbait… slippery slope…
Go too far and it’s downright unethical.
Don’t go far enough and your point gets lost is the noise.
One more to balance ⚖️.
Now it’s time to think on what’s next, but I’m going to need some time to recover, as I write this in the middle of a flu 🤒. I wouldn’t have posted this week—shouldn’t as I recover precisely these days—but given the significance of the post and it’s content… you can imagine I had no choice.
This is the power of commitment and purpose.
Hope to leverage on the latter to renew the former. A new Golden Post-It will be born from this.
Thank you everyone for reading 🙏.
Time to rest 🛏️.
