Afterword to Function, Beauty and Character
On figuring Out Doors.
It won’t open because it’s a security door!
If you want to understand why, please read The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman,

On Writing Down Outcomes
John Doerr, co-father of the OKR, used the small note of FDR in his book Speed and Scale as an example of concision and ambition. If someone can do this plan for something as complex as WWII, you can do it for your project too.
Another remarkable example are these notes by Michael Jackson written in 1979. Not strictly outcomes but more a manifesto.
On Making it Beautiful
Impossible not to link the four chord satire song here.
On Character
I used a Tom Sachs chair to continue with the theme of the thumbnail… Tom Sachs’ chair has even more character than the Eames one.
I enjoyed stealing from Austin Kleon’s Steal Like an Artist the diagram of the people I usually steal from. El que roba a un ladrón, tiene 100 años de perdón.
I actually physically did that PAT is dead, cutting the letters from a kids magazine. My new favorite bookmark.
On the blog design
As I referenced Edward Tufte, I couldn’t help but styling the titles in a dark red Gill Sans font.
I liked the way those big centered quotes (from Warhol and The Elements of Style) turned out.
I couldn’t find an elegant way to link to my previous post
Why would I want to do that? As there’s no directory of posts (yet) my rule was to always link previous posts so that you can eventually reach all content by moving from one to another…
Would would want to do that? Nobody.
Who cares? Just me.
Whose page is this? Mine, so please keep calm and carry on.
