...but something has happened, lately.

My desdain for the builder's mindset has shifted. I now acknowledge its value, I accept its necessity, its place in a balanced life.

Maybe the metaphor is not about graduating from a builder into a gardener, but being able to use its capabilities on demand, to harness its power when needed.

Perhaps, as Jung's personality types, it's not manichean better/worse ⚖️ but different points of a spectrum ☯️ , and our purpose is to identify our natural place in it but also to develop our competence on the other.

How are we supposed to be
builders and gardeners
at the same time?
How can we reconcile opposing views?
